Last fall, Aaron Schmitt and Ed Owens of Victory Jukebox embarked on an unforgettable European journey, attending the renowned Rosmalen Rock Around the Jukebox show on Oktober 5-6, 2024. This iconic event, held annually in the Netherlands, attracts jukebox enthusiasts, collectors, and industry leaders from around the globe, offering an exciting showcase of both vintage and contemporary jukeboxes. Attendees can explore rare machines, memorabilia, and connect with fellow music lovers in a vibrant atmosphere.

Sound Leisure in Leeds, UK

During their European adventure, Aaron and Ed made a special stop at Sound Leisure in Leeds, UK, the official manufacturer of the stunning Wurlitzer 1015 Tribute New Jukebox – Vinyl 45 – click here for jukebox details. This behind-the-scenes visit allowed them to observe the meticulous craftsmanship and passion that goes into creating these modern classics. An interesting highlight was seeing the historic lathe that produced casings for the famous “bouncing bombs” used in World War II, now proudly part of Sound Leisure’s history.

Diving Deep into European Jukebox History

The trip also included memorable visits to prominent jukebox specialists like The Fifties Store (Bennies Fifties) in Hague, Netherlands and the Duke of Juke from Rotterdam, Netherlands. These dealers warmly welcomed Aaron and Ed, offering deep insights into jukebox restoration, history, and operation. The connections made during these visits enriched Victory Jukebox’s expertise in offering beautifully refurbished and restored jukeboxes from iconic brands like AMI, Seeburg, and Wurlitzer.

Between the whirlwind of activity, Aaron and Ed took the opportunity to socialize with old and new friends from the international jukebox community, sharing knowledge, stories, and even enjoying some leisure time exploring local establishments.
