As the doors closed for the final time at the Lake County Fairgrounds, the May 2025 Chicagoland Antique Advertising Jukebox Show marked the end of an era. For decades, Grayslake served as a nexus for collectors, historians, and connoisseurs of Americana. This spring’s event wasn’t just another show, it was a celebration of legacy.
Victory Jukebox once again anchored the show’s jukebox presence, showcasing elite restorations and proprietary innovations that drew crowds and captivated collectors. From Bluetooth-integrated amplifiers to the iconic Rock-Ola Mystic Music machines, Victory’s booth was equal parts performance and prestige. The buzz around their latest projects wasn’t just audible, it was electric.

Collectors were keenly aware that this was their last chance to walk those familiar aisles, where generations of memories had been made and lifelong friendships forged. Nostalgia met opportunity as rare finds emerged from private holdings, knowing the moment would never be repeated.
As the fairgrounds fade into memory, the spotlight shifts to Schaumburg, Illinois. The upcoming October show moves to the Schaumburg Convention Center- nestled in a bustling district of fine dining, luxury shopping, and upscale accommodations. The change brings upgraded space, enhanced visibility, and new possibilities for elite collectors.
This move isn’t just logistical, it’s symbolic. The Schaumburg venue will elevate the show’s prestige, making it a must-attend event for those who see collecting not just as a hobby, but as a pursuit of cultural legacy.

With so many unique and rare finds at the Chicagoland Antique Advertising, Slot Machine & Jukebox Show, capturing the full experience in a single blog post is nearly impossible. To provide structure and depth, we’ve grouped the hundreds of standout pieces into focused categories, each showcased below as a brief introduction to its own rich gallery. These sections offer a curated glimpse into the diverse collectible worlds that made this event truly unforgettable.
Antique Audio & Music Players
The antique audio and music players on display transported visitors back to the very beginnings of recorded sound, showcasing external horn phonographs, Edison cylinder players, and exquisitely crafted disc music boxes. These machines weren’t just feats of early acoustic engineering; they were status symbols of luxury, once reserved for the most affluent households. Seeing multiple Edison phonographs, rare Polyphons, and intricately detailed German music boxes gathered in one place was a rare auditory and visual pleasure. Today, collectors of these remarkable instruments form an elite circle, preserving tangible pieces of music history from a time when owning the ability to play recorded sound at home was a marvel few could afford. Their rarity and craftsmanship make them treasures in a world that now takes instant, on-demand music for granted.
A true symphony of light and sound, classic jukeboxes remain the centerpiece of any serious collection, and no one exemplifies that standard like Victory Jukebox. Our booth at the show featured crown jewels such as the Rock-Ola Mystic Music machines, the timeless Wurlitzer 1015, and the Seeburg HF100R, all presented with meticulous precision. The proprietary JukeTalk amplifier was a standout, introducing a new era of plug-and-play luxury jukebox audio. Elsewhere on the show floor, collectors were treated to rarities like the Gabel Kuro and our namesake, the patriotic Wurlitzer Victory, each presented at the highest levels of craftsmanship.

Items like the Genco Motorama and Pulver Gum machine weren’t just rare, they were storytelling devices for an entire generation of collectors. Whether nostalgic or mechanical, each piece in this section was a window into a more tactile, colorful past. Many serious collectors left with one-of-a-kind centerpieces for their already sprawling vintage collections, each acquisition a testament to impeccable timing. The satisfaction on their faces was unmistakable; the kind that only comes from being in the right place, surrounded by a network of equally passionate collectors.
A kaleidoscope of laughter and memory, this section captured the imagination of collectors by appealing to the child within. From rare Bozo lunchboxes and brightly colored tin toys to a fully restored coin-operated rocket kiddie ride, the displays were a vivid celebration of the joy and emotional connection that defines vintage collecting. Character merchandise – whether it’s the Green Giant Sprout, superhero lunchboxes, or a model of the Ghostbusters’ ECTO-1, remains one of the most sought-after sectors in the collector market. This event served as a masterclass in nostalgia, reigniting memories both cherished and long-forgotten. At every turn, collectors encountered a piece of their own past, often accompanied by a smile of recognition. The Chicagoland Show continues to be one of the premier destinations for reliving those childhood joys through authentic, tangible Americana.
